Description

GTC M2 is a non-oxidizing biocide chemical, with Isothiazoline as the main active ingredient. It has a broad-spectrum activity to eliminate bacteria and microorganisms in RO systems.

Application

• The operation of RO systems creates an environment conducive to the growth of microorganisms (e.g., bacteria that pass through the filter, inorganic salts, organic scale, and biological contaminants). The RO membrane structure itself also serves as a nutrient source for aquatic bacteria. This microbial growth reduces filtration efficiency, increases pressure differential, lowers system capacity, and degrades the quality of the demineralized water. Downtime may also lead to damage to the membrane structure.

• GTC M2 is a specialized disinfectant for polyamide and cellulose acetate membranes, effectively combating the biochemical effects of microorganisms, eliminating odors, restoring membrane performance, extending equipment lifespan, and reducing operating costs.

• GTC M2 is stable, non-foaming, non-volatile, and does not evaporate. It does not react with metals, rubber, or other materials used in equipment construction. The product can be used in both acidic and alkaline environments.
