BASTAF Technology

BASTAF is an anaerobic reactor with thin walls and an anaerobic filter to prevent upward flow, which functions to treat domestic wastewater and other wastewater with properties similar to domestic wastewater. (pic 1).

Technology and equipment process of BASTAF:

The principle is that wastewater is introduced into the first compartment of the tank, which acts as an anaerobic-fermentation compartment, while regulating the flow and concentration of contaminants in the wastewater stream. Thanks to the directional baffles, in the next compartment, wastewater moves in the direction from the bottom to the top, in contact with the anaerobic microorganisms in the mud formed in the bottom of the tank in dynamic conditions, organic contaminants. muscle is absorbed and metabolized by microorganisms, simultaneously, allowing separation of two phases (acid fermentation and alkaline fermentation). BASTAF allows to increase the sludge retention time, so the processing efficiency increases while the amount of sludge to be processed decreases. The final compartments are to prevent anaerobic filtration, which cleans and replenishes waste water, thanks to the anaerobic microorganisms attached to the surface of the particles of the filter material, and prevents suspended sediment from floating out in the water.

- Achievement standard: Using BASTAF tank to treat domestic wastewater allows good and stable performance (average treatment efficiency according to SS suspended sediment content, COD chemical oxygen demand, oxygen demand Biochemical BOD5 from 70-75%). Compared to conventional septic tanks in good working conditions, BASTAF has a 2-3 times higher processing efficiency. Waste water after treatment meets the standards according to TCVN 5945-1995 (Waste standard, industrial waste water), TCVN 6772-2000 (Water quality - Domestic wastewater - Permitted pollution limit), TCVN 6980-2001 to 6987-2001 depending on the type of wastewater receiving source.
